Every environment has its own definition of abnormal. The LifeFinder platform is modular and configurable – and we work with customers to build applications tailored to their specific operational needs.
The foundation of the LifeFinder platform is a small sensor that communicates with gateways. What the sensor monitors, and what triggers an alert, can be configured for a wide range of operational needs. The examples below illustrate what the platform can support – some already in operation, others available on request.
Pilots, port agents, contractors and visitors can be issued a device when they come on board. In an emergency, the bridge sees everyone – not only the permanent crew.
The same sensor that positions a person can be attached to an asset. High-value equipment – trailers, vehicles, cargo units including cargo units in holds – can be tracked across a fleet or between port and vessel.
A sensor on a fire extinguisher registers if it is moved from its designated position. A sensor on a lifebuoy confirms it is in place – without a manual check. If something is missing, the platform knows.
Temperature, gas, smoke, water, humidity. Sensors can be deployed wherever abnormal conditions are a risk – in cargo holds, engine rooms, battery storage areas, or on land-based industrial sites.
Worker safety in large port environments where personnel move across wide areas. The same platform that works on a vessel scales to quaysides, terminals and warehouses.
Offshore installations, wind energy facilities, industrial plants. Wherever personnel work in hazardous conditions and fast response to an incident matters, the platform can be adapted.
If you have a safety challenge that involves detecting something abnormal — in an environment, in an asset, or in the status of a person — we are interested in hearing about it.
We have experience adapting the platform to operational requirements that did not exist as a standard use case when we started. The best starting point is a conversation about what your abnormal looks like.

Small, smart and built for tough environments – wear on the wrist, clip to workwear, or on a lanyard.
On vessels, installation can be done in service – no dry dock required.
Once the infrastructure is in place, new applications and sensor configurations can be added without new cabling or major works.
